HHT is RHL's latest heat resistant cover material designed for high temperature supercalendering.
Hough High Temperature is RHL's newly developed cover material for high temperature calendering. RHL believes that HHT represents the most cost effective solution for high temperature calendering on the market today.
The special fibre formulation and unique manufacturing process enable HHT to perform in higher temperature calendering conditions. The high mechanical strength of the cover material and optimised density resists splitting and cracking of the cover at high temperatures. The light (whitish) colour of the material enables early identification of heat damage, assisting in roll maintenance.
Excellent surface properties and optimum surface hardness ensure a positive contribution to paper quality. HHT rolls are easily machined to a high quality surface finish.
| Typical Material Hardness | Max. Speed | Max. Linear Pressure | Max. Roll Surface Temp.* | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HHT (Hough High Temperature) | 89-92°Shore D | 1200m/min | 450kN/m | 140°C |
