White Cotton Paper (Unbleached)
100% unbleached cotton based roll cover material suitable for medium speed and medium line pressure supercalendering.
Typical Uses
- Coated paper
- LWC paper
Key Features
- Suitable for medium speed and medium line load supercalendering conditions
- Improved marking resistance over traditional bleached White Cotton Paper
- Improved gloss development due to internal heat generation
Unbleached White Cotton Paper is made from 100% white cotton linter. The material retains its original fibre length which contributes to its suitability for supercalendering. Unbleached White Cotton Paper is suitable for medium speed and medium line load supercalendering conditions. Its elasticity and resulting marking resistance is greater than normal White Cotton Paper in which the cotton linter is bleached. Unbleached White Cotton Paper rolls provide a relatively wide nip line, contributing to roll temperature and improved gloss development. Due to increased deformation at the nip, the material has improved internal heat generation and care should be taken to avoid surface burning during extended use in the supercalender.
