Cop Cotton

High quality cotton rolls for textile finishing (as specified by the world's leading calender manufacturers and textile finishers).

Typical Uses

  • Textile and non-woven calendering
  • Friction calendering
  • Schreinering
  • Embossing

Key Features

  • High resilience and strength
  • Excellent roll surface characteristics
  • Achieves optimum fabric surface finish
  • Excellent resistant to surface damage
  • Minor surface marks-damage can be run out

Cop Cotton roll cover material is produced from highly compressed 100% natural cotton in thread form. The cotton is carded for suitable fibre alignment in the manufactured roll. RHL’s 3500 hydraulic presses are essential to achieve the optimum cotton roll density and performance.

Cop Cotton provides a strong, stable roll cover material, ideal for use in textile calendering. The material has a good resistance to damage caused by abnormal thicknesses of material passing through the nip (e.g. folds, seams and creases). Excellent roll surface properties provide optimum finished fabric quality.

Cop Cotton is suitable for use under a wide range of textile calendering conditions.

Cop Cotton rolls can be resurfaced on standard equipment such as diamond tool, abrasive belt or stone grinding. The rolls can be recovered time and time again.
